FAQ about our Booklet Printing Services

What is the difference between book printing and booklet printing?

Book printing and booklet printing sound similar, but they’re built for different jobs.

A book usually has a high page count and needs sturdy binding, perfect or case binding, so it holds up to repeated reading. Think novels, reference titles, and hardcover photo books.

A booklet is shorter and lighter. We print booklets for product catalogues, company newsletters, event programmes, sales kits, and corporate profiles, anything designed to be read, handed out, and refreshed for the next campaign.

The short version: books are built to keep; booklets are built to circulate.

What is the minimum order quantity for booklet printing in Singapore?

There’s no fixed minimum; we print the exact quantity you need.

For short runs of around 200 copies or fewer, we use digital printing. It keeps setup costs low and turnaround tight, making it ideal for sales decks, pitch materials, and event handouts. Short-run jobs typically leave our Singapore facility in 2–3 working days.

Once your run goes past 250 copies, we switch to offset printing. The per-copy cost drops sharply, so offset is the better choice for product catalogues, AGM reports, and large marketing rollouts. Bulk runs of 1,000 or more typically deliver in 4–6 working days.

Not sure which side of the line you’re on? Send us your page count and quantity, and we’ll quote both methods so you can see which one actually works out cheaper.

What sizes are available for booklet printing?

We print booklets in all the standard sizes used in Singapore, A4, A5, A6, and DL, and we also handle custom trim sizes for square lookbooks, slim landscape sales sheets, and other non-standard formats. For shaped edges, rounded corners, or cover windows, we offer die-cutting on top of any trim size.

What binding options are available?

Binding decides how your booklet feels in the reader’s hand and how long it stays in good shape. We offer the four main options used in Singapore:

  • Saddle stitching — wire staples through the spine fold. The most economical option is best for booklets between 8 and around 64 pages. Ideal for event programmes, brochures, and company newsletters.
  • Perfect binding — inner pages glued into a wrap-around softcover with a flat printable spine. Needs a minimum of about 40 pages so the spine holds. Suits magazines, annual reports, and product catalogues.
  • Wire-O binding — punched holes along the binding edge, secured with a twin-loop metal wire. Pages lie completely flat when open and fold all the way back, which makes it the natural choice for manuals, recipe books, and reference catalogues.
  • Case binding (hardcover) — a sewn or glued text block fixed into a rigid board cover. Mostly used on full books, but we also case-bind premium booklets such as company anniversary editions and high-end gift catalogues.

Not sure which fits your job? Tell us your page count, expected shelf life, and how the booklet will be used, and we’ll recommend the right binding.
